Social Media

Although it is a difficult task, we always encourage sharing and giving within our group, and as such we will be creating a closed Facebook Group for our members only.

Here we will announce workshops and presentations, encourage one another, and have a platform to ask for perspective if needed without fear of being judged or excluded. We will endeavour to answer every post within 24-hours, but may contact the member directly if there is cause.

Blog

We have recently started a blog called Depression and Anxiety Durban Support Group (http://depressiondbngroup.blogspot.co.za/) and will be posting to it as well as  emailing out newsletters. We will enable the blog to send you notifications each time a new post is ready, so be sure to check it out!

The head of this support group also has another blog called "A Lucky Wife", and we would encourage you to read through some of these posts as well, as many of them relate to stresses we face every day, and how to effectively deal with them.

Connecting

As explained on the Home Page, this support group mainly focuses on dealing with Anxiety and Depression, or dealing with the effects thereof (ie. if a loved one is suffering from these conditions), encouraging their well-being.
Meetings

The importance of Support Groups cannot be stressed enough. This group is by no means perfect, nor the only one of it's kind, but we try to live out our values of confidentiality, respect, and equal opportunity at every chance.

We hold our meetings on the first Wednesday of every month Glenwood, Durban. Meetings start promptly at 18h30 and end at 19h30 - spouses and children are welcome.

Please feel free to contact us directly on 072 848 9792 (Danielle) or on our Facebook Page for more detail.
